Whether they are looking after their kids or they were just unlucky in the job market, some women don’t have the luxury of exploring their professional side. But for those of us who do, we should be thankful for every moment. Building a career (and making your own money) is fulfilling just as it is rewarding. Being an independent woman, and a co-dependent parent, is the only way you’ll secure that peace of mind. Getting some time to develop yourself and your career will make you an even better mom at home.
If you wake up, spend the day, and night between the four walls of your home with your children, chances are your frustration will get the best of you. Being a working mom helps ensure that you get time for yourself, minus all the interruptions. It also helps create a healthy family dynamic, where no one person is fully dependent on the other. It’s all about co-dependence.
3. Better Health
Studies have revealed that mothers who go back to routine work within months of delivery have “more energy, mobility, and less depression by age 40” than those who decide to stay at home. It was also revealed, in another study, that working moms experience less stress and anger than stay-at-home mothers. It is expected considering working moms get to be productive in different ways, both at work and at home. Not only will time away from home make you less resentful, but it will make you appreciate the time you do get to spend at home with your family.
